Karma

If you subscribe to a belief in karma, then you'd have to believe that I did some fairly rotten things in a past life to have to work through two bouts of leukemia, two transplants, and this house mess.

I'm not going to get into any details because I feel like if I start talking about it, I won't stop. I'm just going to give it up to the universe and see what comes back.

If anyone's looking for me, they can find me squashed under an enormous pair of shoes.

Oh, forgive me for laughing at this post as I imagine you under all of those dropped shoes.

I recently went to hear Suzy Welch, author of 10-10-10 (and wife of former GE CEO Jack Welch) speak. She said that it's BS when people tell you things will work out in the end because that's such a passive approach. I totally disagree with her.

Sometimes we do everything we can do, and then, like you said, all we can do is step back. Some things really are beyond our control.

Here's hoping that this all works out in the end (with no apologies to Suzy Welch).

Susan,

I absolutely agree with your approach. I just have to keep reminding myself that things come together when they're ready and that I can't rush it.

I agree with Susan. Take a step back and hope it will all fall into place. Easier said than done! I see that you went to the movies. That sounds like a great distraction. Hope you had fun.
