Beyond the infinite

 At 9:30AM this morning my best friend, wife, lover and radiant bride took her last breath.  The light is gone from the world.

I am so sorry to hear this. I've been following Ann for many months now. She will certainly be remembered for all the traits we, as humans strive for. She will live on in your heart forever.

I am so so sorry to read these last two updates. You guys both fought so hard and it's just not a fair ending. You'll be constantly in my thoughts. Sending all the love and healing energy and peace I can find your way in the weeks and months to come.

Chris, please accept the sorrow and sympathy of a stranger. It was obvious from the blog what a radiant and precious person she was, and she was fortunate to have you by her side to the end.
I don't know if you are familiar with Dylan Thomas's poem, "And Death Shall Have No Dominion," but here is the first stanza. May you find comfort in your grief:

And death shall have no dominion.
Dead man naked they shall be one
With the man in the wind and the west moon;
When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone,
They shall have stars at elbow and foot;
Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.

Chris, I am so, so sad to learn this. I have been following Ann's story for the past year…learned about her on Lisa Adam's twitter feed. My heart was broken when her cancer recurred in her spine…I know she had been hoping to go back to work only days before this happened. You were as devoted to her as any man could possibly be, and your love for each other shone out so strongly. Finding a hospice where she could be with her beloved cats was a wonderful gift to her in her last days. I will be keeping you both in my prayers, as I have been. Sending you much love in this time of sadness.

I am so sorry for your loss. Ann will be missed, by more people than you or she could ever imagine.

Chris, You have my deepest sympathy on your loss. Radiant is the perfect word for Ann; despite all of the suffering of the last years her spirit, her humor and most of all her love for you shone through. Ann will be dearly missed.

so heartbroken for you to read this news. I have followed Ann for a while, reading & always wishing her good news/results from her treatments. How lucky she was to have you, unwavering by her side through every up & down. Love is not the moments we celebrate & have fun but in really being there for someone through hard times, illness & heartbreak.

@AmidPrivilege hi there you gorgeous jewel.

I will treasure them always and try in her honor to live up to what she said. May you both find peace, in time.

I am so sorry, I have been following Ann's story for a few years, and I have learned to appreciate having good health, something I took for granted before. I hope you can heal eventually, you are one incredible and good human being, as she was. Love from Puerto Rico.
